Hosting your own custom domain for Blogger comes with a lot of advantages, like free web hosting for life and the absence of subdomains. It can be challenging for many novices to add a custom domain to Blogger. Take a look at the instructions below, particularly if you purchased the domain from GoDaddy and plan to host it on Blogger.

Step 1.

You must first create your new blog and log into Blogger using your Google account. You can skip this step if you already have a Blogspot blog. However, if this is your first time using Blogger, simply create your own blog by logging in with your Google account.

It will ask you to submit your blog's title first, then select a URL (the.blogspot subdomain will be automatically added to the URL), and lastly, it will ask you to verify your display name. Proceed to the following step after completing the blog creation process.

Step 2.

I'm assuming that you already have a GoDaddy domain as I'm writing this step. Now that you've successfully set up your brand-new blog on Blogger, it's time to configure your custom domain.

Navigate to Settings after logging into your Blogger account. Once you reach Publishing, scroll down and select Custom domain. Enter your domain with a www in the popup, for example, www.yourdomain.com. You will see an error message requiring you to enter two CNAMEs with your domain registrar as soon as you click Save.

Step 3.

It's now necessary to update the DNS settings for your domain registrar with these CNAME entries. GoDaddy is where you bought your domain, so open GoDaddy in a new tab and sign in to your account. To access the DNS settings, click DNS directly before your domain name under My Products.
You may view certain A records, CNAME entries, etc. on the DNS Management page for your domain. However, you must include fresh CNAME entries. Click Add to add new CNAME records, then.

Next, select CNAME from the drop-down menu, type www in the Host field, and enter the value that Blogger provided for Destination in the Points to field error notice. You can leave the TTL field in its default state. Once finished, save the modifications by clicking the Save button.
Note: In order to add the new CNAME record, you must first remove any existing ones in your DNS records that contain the www Host Name. Altering the current CNAME with new values is another option.

Use the same process for the second CNAME that Blogger supplied in the error message. Create a new CNAME record and fill in the Points to field with the values for the Host Name and Destination, as indicated in the error notice and press the save button.

Step 4.

During the process of configuring CNAMEs for my domain on GoDaddy, I discovered a "A" record that had the value "Parked." This implies that unless you delete this record or value from your DNS settings, your domain will constantly display "Parked by GoDaddy."

Make sure you don't have an A record parked in your DNS settings after putting up CNAME records. You can easily remove that particular record if any are discovered. Click the Edit icon on the right, followed by the Delete icon, to remove a record. It's that easy.

Step 5.

Wait at least an hour after adding the CNAMEs before activating your DNS settings. You will then need to add the custom domain to the Blogger account once more. Simply go to your Blogger Settings and follow the same procedure as in the second step. Click Custom domain under Publishing, type the domain once more, and then click Save.

Step 6.

This is an optional step, though, as you can still see your blog at your custom domain without doing so—just make sure to input the domain's www version. It won't open when you type in your domain's non-www version. You must configure a redirect from your domain's non-www version to its www version in order to resolve issue.

Setting up a non-www to www redirect for your custom domain on Blogger is also really simple. All you have to do is update the DNS settings for your domain with 4 A records pointing to the following IP addresses:
